Gina + Brendan // Emotional and Stormy Texas Garden Wedding

I’ve had the massive honor of being at a lot of weddings. Gina and Brendan’s rainy wedding day, though, is easily one of those impactful and emotional I’ve ever seen. I may be a little partial - I’ve always been someone who loved stormy weather. I love that a force of nature can be so powerful and so calming all at once. As this wedding day progressed, we watched the weather turn from sunshine and steaming air (I always forget how humid the south is) to tornadoes and lightning strikes in the east-central Texas plains. Gina and Brendan never wavered, never feared. It’s rare to find a love so pure and so powerful, a love they have. While we were taking their portraits, the lightning was striking in the distance and the raindrops started falling but they only noticed each other. Between the prayers they prayed, the tears shed, the hymns sang, and the laughter shared, Gina and Brendan proved they have a special kind of love for not only one another, but the people that surround them. Beautiful strength and calm comes from many places: the crashing ocean waves, the rolling thunder on a summer night, or in the arms of the ones we love the most. Especially, in the arms of the ones we love the most. I witnessed that last night in Texas. To the new Napoli family: I am blessed by you and grateful for you and your friendship. Here’s to many more years of Italian food, Midwestern road trips, shared letters, and dancing in the rain. To the Napoli’s!

You came into the picture like a natural
You were unexpected, got me spiritual
I don't wanna say it, but maybe it was fate
And I can not contain it

And I know, and I know it's a different love
And I know, and I know that you make me better
It's a love that will keep me holding on
And I know, and I know we only get better
