are you inclusive / Lgbtqia+ friendly?
This is the number one question I get, and the one answer I want you to know the most. The answer is a resounding YES. Not only do I believe that love is love, but I believe that your love story, whatever it looks like, is just as important and valuable and beautiful and worthy as every other story. Whether your relationship falls in the LGBTQIA+ category, you’re a biracial couple, you’re plus-sized, you don’t fit in the traditional mold of the images in bridal magazines… Whatever your story looks like, I know that you have fought for it and treasure it. Please know that I treasure you, as well. I’m here for you and I’m here to tell your story with beauty, honesty, friendship, and love.
DO YOU DO DESTINATION WEDDINGS?
YES! I love to travel! Wherever you want to go, I’ll meet you there! Europe? Cool. Asia? Let’s do it. Africa? Sounds awesome. Heck, if you want to go to Antarctica, I’ll start looking up flights. Traveling is my favorite, and I’d love to photograph you in a super cool destination!
WILL YOU TRAVEL BACK HOME TO OHIO FOR MY EVENT?
I get this question a lot, and the answer is almost always a yes! If my schedule allows it, I’m always willing to come back home! Send me a message if you’re interested in booking an Ohio wedding!
CAN I SEE A FULL WEDDING YOU’VE PHOTOGRAPHED?
Absolutely! It’s important to you to see a day from beginning to end, and I completely understand. I want you to feel totally confident in my abilities as your photographer. Just let me know you’d like to see a full day, and I’ll send you the link.
DO YOU USE A SHOT LIST? CAN I SEND YOU MY PINTEREST LIST?
I’m more than happy to check out your shot list, and more than anything, I want you to tell me about the things that matter to you. For me, it was my grandma helping me put on my jewelry that I made from her old wedding jewelry. I want to know all of those things, and less of the “recreate this exact photo” kind of things. I do use a shot list for family photos, but that’s all. I’m happy to check out your inspiration board, but I don’t recreate photos.
do you have a timeline for my wedding?
We’ll come up with one together! As the time gets closer, we’ll sit down and write out what the best course of action is for planning out your day so that you can relax, have fun, get beautiful photos, and not feel rushed or stressed.
how long will it take to get my gallery?
You want to see the photos from your very best day! I get it! I aim to get all galleries out within a month. If it might take me a little longer, I promise you’ll be the first to know.
do we have to meet in person to book?
Nope! I’m very upfront and transparent here on this little corner of the internet, and in my emails. We’ll talk via email, phone call, FaceTime, whatever helps us get to know each other best before booking. That being said, I’m always up for a beer or a cup of coffee!
Do you work with a second photographer?
While I love working with second or assistant photographers, I generally shoot weddings alone! If your day has particularly complicated logistics, you’re looking for shots I need some help with, or you’re just looking for extra photos, let me know and we can talk about adding a second photographer to your package!
can you hold our date?
Once you decide to book, I’ll send you a contract and invoice. You have one week to get everything squared away on your end before I open the date back up to inquiries. Once you’re all paid and signed, though, I mark your date off on my calendar and you’re reserved.
do you offer payment plans?
I sure do! Wedding photography isn’t inexpensive, nor should it be. I want you to have the best photos, and I want them to be accessible to you. I offer two types of payment plans to make working together as easy as possible.
what equipment do you use, and do you have backups?
I use the Canon brand of photography gear, and I always come with backups. I shoot with multiple cameras, lenses, and flashes, and always come with extra batteries, chargers, SD/CF cards, and so much more to make sure I don’t miss anything on your big day.
do you back up the photos?
Of course! Your precious memories are precious to me, too. Your photos are backed up as soon as I get back to my computer and are stored across multiple hard drives.
do you have insurance?
Yes! I have insurance for my business, for your safety and protection, for the protection of my gear, and much more. If your venue requires proof of my Liability Insurance, let me know so I can send them a copy and we can get back to planning your day!
